This game lesson in Unity was adapted from an older Unity mobile demo on occlusion culling. Since then it has gone through a few revisions, with the most recent design being a simple FPS puzzle based escape room game,  It’s been used by hundreds of students in game audio to learn the basics of audio in Unity.

I designed the basic configuration with programming help from Graham Pezzutti and did some parts of the audio interaction in C#, plus writing all of the documentation, tutorials, and testing.

This specific demo video is an adaptation of the main game lesson into the Fabric middleware which shows off its power and usability, as well as Unity’s Mixer objects and plugins for creating interesting and immersive sound environments. The video also annotates the various Fabric features I have employed.
